A flick is incomplete without several characters. Recently we saw how Sheeba Chaddha did wonders with her very brief part in Phone Bhoot where she played the role of Chikni Chudail. Now that is the power of support these actresses lend. Raazi, a Meghna Gulzar directorial venture can never be imagined without a terrific Jaideep Ahlawat.
Hence, the relevance of this award grows manifold to appreciate the achievements of these supporting actresses. We thank all these actors for giving us some memorable movie experiences.
Mimi is amongst the most underrated films of 2021. It shaped the entire career trajectory for Kriti Sanon. She entirely changed the perspective of people by showcasing a breathtakingly amazing performance. But a character who stole the show in that film has to be Shama Anand played exceptionally by Sai Tamhankar and the love from the audiences resulted in her winning the award for the best supporting actress with 1059 public votes.
On number two is Shruti Sharma who delivered a very natural performance in Umesh Bist’s Pagglait. She got 665 votes. Following Shruti is a name that is extremely popular on television, but she also left a lasting impression on the big screen with her convincing performance, Krystle D’souza ranks third with 656 public votes for her role in Chehre.
Bhagyashree ranked fourth for her performance in Thalaivi and Huma Qureshi got the fifth spot for her spot on performance in Bell Bottom. Neena Gupta, Sheeba Chaddha, and Amruta Subhash are among the other names who scored well in the public votes.
Surprisingly, Neena Gupta who we all know at one point was facing a dull career, she took to her Twitter back then and informed the world how went out of work and sought new opportunities. Ironically, she has got two positions on this list. She attained the seventh position for her performance in Sardar Ka Grandson and the eleventh position for her portrayal of Aunty Ji in the extraordinary film Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar.
We congratulate the winners and appreciate the audience for supporting them and taking the time to vote.
