Unlike other award shows, there is no jury or panel on board that re-considers or even tries to withhold the decision of the audience. It is just Public Votes who decide the fate of the winner. IFTA maintains transparency and hence it is the India’s first People’s Choice Award.
Munna Bhai without Circuit in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Manu without Pappi in Tanu weds Manu, or a Sanju without Kamli in Sanju, these films or even the protagonists’ journeys would have been incomplete had they not been supported by these characters. Supporting actors are supremely important in films just as we all need someone to support us in our day-to-day life. It is this relatability that one resonates with while watching these amazing characters on-screen. That is why IFTA brings the category of the Most Popular Bollywood Supporting Actor to appreciate the sheer hard work and dedication that these actors put in to make the performances believable.
